Adventure #13 ~ An Adventure Can Happen Even When You Least Expect it!

Since my fall, and once home from our first trip, I didn't adventure out much until my best friend came for a week to help me out. She drove me to therapy, my doctor's appointments, and to the nursery, I hadn't been to since spring began. Having her here, helping me get into the mood of gardening again, would have been an adventure all of its own. The things we did, shared, created, laughed, and even a few tears, would have been plenty.

Then we learned through my daughter that the show, The Great Food Truck Race was in town.

How exciting!

We tried to make it the filming that morning at the Yuma Territorial Prison, but we were too late.
Knowing the show, after the introduction and receiving their special ingredient, they would be off to shopping.

That's where we found them, at the Sam's Club.
We even got to meet the crew from New England Grill!
My daughter kept us updated with their next stop where they will cook and serve the special ingredient. They picked Old Town, and we were among the first fans to find them.
We were second in line for their special Shrimp BLT with Spinach, Artichoke spread.
I ordered the Fish and Chips while my friend ordered the special. Ya see I am severely allergic to shrimp! I was excited to learn they don't deep fry the shrimp allowing me to have the Fish & Chips. I never pass up the opportunity. We agreed they were both delicious.
We were even interviewed and asked how we liked our meals.
Now, you can't plan these kinds of adventures. Being in the right place, at the right time! It was great to see so many people enjoying this experience.

I was happy to be among them.

We heard from people who kept arriving that another truck, Just Wing It, stayed at Sam's so we went to check them out.
The menu is exactly what their name says, wings. All type of sauces to dip them in. We weren't to keen on it, so we called it a day.

I must say, for being my first time out since our last adventure, this was a lot of fun. In case you're wondering why I wasn't with my other half, he had work to do. He did swing by Old Town was going to stop but the line was too long for the time he had. He was happy I was having a great time with my friend.

Our last day together couldn't have been better! What an Adventure!
