Let the race adventures begin!
We rarely arrive so late.
It has happened a couple of times before, us pulling in when it was dark but it was a long time ago!
It was during our first few years when we began RVing at the track.
We learned the showers didn't open till Wednesday, so there was no need to get there any earlier.
Now it doesn't matter since I can shower in my RV. (larger tanks)
This time it was different for a really exciting reason.
The track has been transformed into an entirely new track!
Those seats on the right, (below) have been gone a long time.
They were are very first seats back in 1995.
Then came the extension of the Allison Stands, along with redoing the dogleg and pit row.
Up until November of 2016, our view from our RV looked like this...
Then the beginning of this year...
I brought the potted plants we used for the Boo Bash.
As we rode around checking it all out, we learned the silver and gold wave around the stands are the old bench seats.
Looking forward to Friday when we get to go inside.
But before we get to go inside, there's the hauler parade tomorrow.
That first photo was the only one that came out halfway decent since it was dark.

Up until November of 2016, our view from our RV looked like this...
There is a row of RV spots in front of us, but for the last couple of years, they've been empty.
Across from the RV area, was a large parking area. When not full of cars, it made a great place to fly a kite.
Last year it looked like this...
Then in the spring of this year, it looked like this...
Now it looks like this...
What was a parking lot in front us, became a new RV section.
We made a choice to stay.
We love the location.
We love our neighbors.
Plus our site is pretty level.
The new area is not.
The next morning we had to venture off the track for supplies.
I was really excited when it was time to head back as I wanted a picture of it coming over the bridge.
For 21 years it looked basically like this...
At least the grandstands did.
Getting to the infield changed over the years,
some of the parking was switched up, even the bridge we crossed grew, but other than that they had always stayed the same.
Then the beginning of this year...
You can see the new grandstands rising above the old.
Some of the old grandstands were already missing.
And this is what it looks like now...
And from our new seats, we can now see the bridge.
That RV area is pretty pricey but what a view they get!
As you approach the bridge, someone painted the number one on the speed limit sign!
Plus we brought the big one we used for the beginning of our adventures.
The bikes are for our friends who have joined us for over 10 years.
I am hoping to get back on one myself, but it needs to be electric,
so I will have some help when I need to go up the hills.
Looking forward to Friday when we get to go inside.
But before we get to go inside, there's the hauler parade tomorrow.
