Adventure #12~ Perfect Day for a Race

I made it to the last race of this journey.
Eleven days of some of the most interesting times that weren't planned along with a broken shoulder.
As planned we were in our seats for driver introductions.
I love zooming in and checking out pit lane!
I also love BIG trucks! I love how they line up perfect for a photo!
I do miss not being over there!
It would have been the last race that those seats would be used.
I worked my butt off to get on that side again.
Now it is part of history, our journey, but not this adventure as planned!
I'm reminded...
For us to be on this trip was because of Him, and the many prayers sent up. I cherished every moment and gave praise for why I got to experience these adventures.
And the winner was...
Kevin Harvick!
My view of our last lap around the RV area. The next morning as we leave I snap one last photo, come the fall, it will be different.!

Adventure #11~ Included Some Weather Delays

Still moving rather slow. Spent the morning catching up with the neighbors.

Decided to check out the midway before heading to our seats.
This was the elevators we use to take to our old handicap seats. To see some of the things we talked to the track about come to life is awesome!
Love being in my seat (OK, my space since I had to change to handicap seats due to the broken shoulder) for drivers introductions. Seeing the drivers as parents is so awesome!
After 47 laps the rain delay came out.

In 2013 NASCAR unveiled the "Air Titan's".
Drying the track after a rain just got faster!
They began their mission about 1:30 PM
Sometime after 3:00 PM we were back in our seats waiting for the red flag to turn green.
Though it had some awesome racing, being up in the handicap section means it gets cold when our weather isn't the best. I distract myself by using my camera to check out the infield.
Or play around with the Fan-Vision!
I was thankful the race finished in time for us to have dinner with our son and his awesome family. It's become a tradition.

Adventure #10 ~ Hauler Parade at ISM (Phoenix Raceway)

Almost forgot to snap some photo's we were having such a great time with our neighbors.

I also didn't make any notes of the adventure either, LOL!

I remember it was great to be among our RV race friends of 15 years. I can't believe we have had the same spot all these years. I wonder what awesome space we will be moved to in the fall.

Adventure #8 & #9 - Breaker, Breaker We Had a Convoy Along Our Trip to Wickenburg!

We Took our time getting on the road the next morning. We decided to secure this same spot for September. We also decided to go a different route than the trucks would be taking. Our chances of landing in the middle of a convoy just diminished. I was in agreement to our detour. It meant less traffic, which creates stops and goes, that cause me to jerk, which then makes the shoulder hurt.

Lake Mead Blvd takes you right past and through Lake Mead National Recreation Area. For most would cost $20 to drive through because you have to pay for a day pass. For us, because I have an Access Pass, it is free. This route brings you out right at Hoover Dam. Was full of beautiful scenery and am so happy we made the choice we did.

Back on the 93 south and going through Kingman, we took Route 66 for a bit. I was having a hard time with my timing, so most of my photos came out blurry.

Once back on the HWY hubby noticed a small convoy coming upon us, WAHOO!
Ok, so it was the gas crew. We stilled laughed about it!
We decided to spend a couple nights in Wickenburg. Found this charming RV park just outside old town.
Not Real!
Real!
When we went out the next morning, Bubba Wallace's hauler was just up the road.
It was a very unique town. I don't know when we will get back this way, but if we do there was a few more things we would like to see and do.
