I think it was even hotter on Sunday!
We stayed out in the RV as long as we could.
The fly-over flew over us as we were on our way to our seats.
As the drivers made their way to their cars, up next would be, "Drivers, start your engines!"
While they made their way around the track, we checked out who was in front of us for pit-stops.
GREEN, GREEN, GREEN!
The first pit stops for the day!
Start of stage two.
I love it when I can get hubby's driver (24) with my driver (48)!
Or hubby's other drive, Chase Elliot (9). Even Jimmie was up in the top 10 for a while.
William Byron, the new driver for the #24, got into it with the #4.
Racing out of the pits was awesome!
Traffic jams were common!
Then one of hubby's drivers brushed the wall!
At one point Jimmie was doing pretty good!
Then...
When Jimmie wrecked out, I was done too!
Trying to keep cooled off was getting difficult.
Yes, they had places where we could dip our cool towels in ice water,
but with the temps being triple digits, it didn't last long.
After a feast with the company we had, it was time to pack up for the night.
There are more adventures ahead...
