Adventure #24 - A Richard Petty Driving Experience

Last morning at the track.

One last thrill before we head north.

Our friends' daughter and son-in-law bought him a driving experience for his birthday.

We drove our truck and trailer through the tunnels and into the infield.

It will probably be her only time, so of course, I had to capture it!

We parted ways after his turn, they headed to the airport, we got on I-15 south, to head north?
Yeah, it was the best way to get over to the 99.



 It was like the highway to Phoenix, nothing but desert. In this case, it was the high desert.

 We stopped in Baker for lunch.
Don't eat at the Mad Greek, it was terrible!

 Lesson learned.

 
We climbed a couple of mountains.

Made it to our destination just before sunset.
This is our third time staying here. Great place, great rates.

Tomorrow we'll be in Napa.
Driving through northern California traffic is indeed an adventure!
